Giving up

So as many of you know I am not Catholic however every year I try and give up something for Lent. This year I did the same as last year: fast food! This is huge for me considering the girl at my local McDonald's knows my name!

As I was choosing what to give up I remember last year it wasn't that bad and I was very proud of myself when I made it the whole way through with just one little slip up! Well only not even a week into this year and it seems to be either a. I forgot how hard it was or b. I'm much to busy for this "having to figure out something to eat" stuff! With school, work, dance, trying to sell the condo and helping my parents with their kitchen I am pulling in some long days. I find myself dreaming of drive thrus and well basically anything to eat without any energy going into it! After the day is over though its better for me to look back and realize "I did it!"

On a more serious note my niece Olivia is having some test ran tomorrow and we are all a little nervous. A couple weeks ago at our first Competition of the season she just passed out and on the way down hit her head. Ashley and her left and went to the Dr. however they said it was nothing. Well this weekend they were down in TN for her cheer competition and the same thing happened again. This time we aren't taking the "its nothing" answer. So after seeing the Dr. yesterday she will be having test tomorrow morning bright and early. Fingers crossed!

Somethings make you realize life could be worse

Last week I woke up to news of what I call my home had been struck by natural disaster. Not one but two in one night.

Japan will always hold a special place in my heart and I found myself glued to the TV and Internet watching the horror unfold. Watching peoples lives literally being swept away you can't help but realize that your life isn't as bad as it may seem at that time. Its scary to think that life can be here one minute and the next minute might not be. Remember to hold your loved ones close and never forget to say I love you! May god be with those families struck by this and with Japan as a whole!

Things Change

Hi there! Its been a while since I have written! So many things have changed since the last time I wrote.
First there is just me now instead of us. I have enrolled back in school and I'm almost done with my first quarter with straight A's!

I have put the condo on the market and I'm looking to just rent a smaller apartment that I can keep up with. Traveling is back on my list of must do's and I am looking to go to Cali this summer to see some of my fav's and I am absolutely stoked about it. Can I sleep until August please! Until then its school and work and dance for me.
I have started to cook at home now instead of eating out and again this year April and I are giving up fast food for lint. Since it starts tomorrow I needed to fill up with as much McD's as I could so we went there for lunch .....hey its fat Tuesday so might as well live it up we got cup cakes from GiGi's in Beaver creek too!

Its Been a while

Its seems like yesterday summer just started and its already fall! Things have gone too fast for me :( Jay and I spend our summer staying in and enjoying the pool and having people over for cook outs! We went boating for my birthday and discovered Tank is a lover of the water (unless its a bath of course)! I worked during the summer at Beavercreek Golf Course as a Cart Girl as a second job! I think I was tanner then I have ever been! Jay is working on his business trying to keep things going while the economy is in the tank! Times are effecting everyone it seems! The most important thing is we have all of our family and friends around us still! Enjoy some of these pics from the summer!

Summer has Began!

Summer is one of my favorite seasons! I love to be outside and by the water. We love to have

cookouts with friends and family. Recently we have been going to the pool and we took a Saturday to go to Ceasars Creek with the kids since the Condo pool is not open yet! This weekend my family is down in TN for a wedding and Jay and I had to stay behind and work, however Jays family is town so I'm sure we will have tons of fun and lots of pictures to post!

Since I last posted we have had dance tryouts for next season and visitors from India and Boston both turned out great and were alot of fun! Enjoy the pics above!

Been awhile!

So its been a little while since I wrote! Things have been nuts! I have started making sure I make it to the gym three days a week and I feel great! I started Spin on Wednesday and man that makes you behind hurt! But I'm bound and determined to make my goal of taking 40lbs off so I'm going again tonight! I got a part time job at the Beavercreek golf club and that will start on May 15th!

As for Jay he is working on a pool for a family friend and it amazes me how he can pick up a new trade and make it work! Can't wait to post pics when he is done! Besides that he is working hard and never home :( He has been taking Tank to work with him so its long days for the both of them! Tank comes home very excited to be there but passes out after 5 minutes b/c he is so tired from work!

Six is doing great we have started walking again at night Miss O comes with us and we work on saying Hi in different languages. Its fun to spend time with little ones and watch them learn. We attemped to give six her summer shave for the summer to save some $$ however just made her look like a cancer patient :( So I took her last Saturday and got it fixed! She is looking pretty now!

Along with Tank being a working dog and earning his keep Jays mom and I have been going walking and hiking and taking tank and roofer with us. They love the walks and love to swim in the rivers and ponds. Ill post some pics of that soon too!

Everyone have a safe weekend!

Easter

Easter was a great day! I went with my family to Beavercreek Country Club for a nice brunch then we all went to the dog park! We took the kids over to the play ground next to the Lake and let Tank swim! He loved it!
Jay went with his family to Grams and they had a really good time! Jack was a charmer of course :)
On a not so fun note I haven't written much lately because Jay's family had a death :( Balesh's dad passed on Thursday so we spent time with his family and tried to comfort them as much as possible.
